Understanding Your Attorney
Peter Felix Armstrong
Attorney at Law
I was born in Northwest Florida, the son of an engineer and a nurse. Like many people, I did not think highly of attorneys until I needed one. After I found myself charged with serious crimes and facing serious time, I learned how important an attorney can be. It was then that the law found me.
My journey to being an attorney began not as a decision to make as much money as possible, but in state prison trying to help my fellow prisoners fight their convictions and sentences. I spent years as an institutional law clerk before being released. While working full-time as a paralegal and with a sincere gratitude to be in law school, I earned my juris doctorate from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, graduating magna cum laude. Determined to succeed, I passed the bar on the first try with a score above the 95th percentile. I was admitted as an attorney in Minnesota and Alabama.
The vision for my firm carries on what I initially envisioned. There is a true need for competent, affordable postconviction representation by attorneys that understand both the weight of having freedom at stake for the client and the emotional journey of the loved ones that live through it on the outside.
If you or your loved ones are in need of postconviction relief or appeals, let’s talk.
